OIL & GAS

Rugged, turnkey solutions

Able to supply everything from conceptual studies, design and procurement to construction and installation, we specialise in solutions and projects for offshore operations. Our excellence in engineering and project management ensures that you get the maximum value from your offshore assets – with minimum downtime. And to ensure that your project meets the highest standards, we use advanced computer-based design tools, such as ASPEN HYSYS.

Robust and reliable, our solutions are compact and modular in design. Thanks to our application of predictive maintenance schemes, our hydraulic and electrical systems are easy and cost-effective to maintain. And we believe in putting comfort first in even the most limited accommodation space.

WIND POWER

Over the last decade, Semco Maritime has built up expertise as a multi-disciplined Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contractor. Today, we apply our EPC expertise to the renewable energy industry, particularly the offshore wind sector.

Dedicated to windpower, on and offshore

Wind is the fastest growing energy source worldwide.

One of the most accessible sources of non-fossil energy, windpower is providing more and more of the world’s energy needs. And as the windpower industry grows, we are applying our knowledge and expertise gained from more than 30 years working on rigs, platforms and power plant projects, to the windpower industry.

We have provided electrical infrastructure design, project management and engineering services for major offshore wind farm projects. We have also delivered accommodation platforms for offshore wind farms and we have been involved in several transformer platforms for Danish and international projects.

RIG UPGRADES

Rigs – one-stop upgrades, servicing and refurbs

Exposed to corrosive saltwater, high winds and extreme shifts in temperature, it’s no surprise that rigs need servicing every five years. From pressurised pipes to accommodation blocks, everything needs inspecting, refurbishing or upgrading to keep your rig operational and safe in tough environments – where quality is crucial.

Minimum Downtime

At Semco Maritime, we understand the importance of keeping our customer's downtime to a minimum. We service, refurbish and upgrade rigs to a tight schedule, and get them up and running and back at the well-head as soon as possible.

Maximum intensity

Our one-stop total refit facility in Esbjerg, Denmark, is unique in the Nordic region. And we take the same one-stop approach in our facility at Vung Tau, South Vietnam. Capable of compressing 15,000 man-hours into a single 4-week project, we can guarantee your rig is back in action fast and when your rig needs essential maintenance and repair at sea, we can get the job done without affecting your operations. After all, tough environments are where we work best.

FIRE FIGHTING SYSTEMS

FIGHTING FIRES IN TOUGH ENVIRONMENTS

Oil and gas production platforms deal with inflammable materials 24/7, so fire prevention rules are strict. Even so, fires do break out, and you need some way of dealing with them – fast. Semco Maritime’s rapid response firefighting systems make sure an outbreak is extinguished before any serious damage can be done – and before anyone gets hurt.

Customised solutions

Every platform is unique. That’s why our firefighting systems are easily integrated into the specific structure and layout of your platform, covering all potential hotspots without overreaching your budget. Our engineers have developed firefighting systems that satisfy the highest demands for reliability, operational safety and life-long technical support.

SemSafe

Using a dense mist of water, SemSafe extinguishes fire without the need for harmful chemicals – and it’s unique to Semco Maritime. Because there’s no CO2 or halon, there’s no need to wait for people to get out of range of the poisonous gas, and there are no harmful environmental after-effects.

You save on water: the mist is extremely fine, so it doesn't take large volumes of water to extinguish a fire. You save on space: a CO2 system with the same capacity as an 8m2 SemSafe system requires 50 to 60m2. And you save on downtime: a one-shot chemical extinguisher doesn't reduce the heat of the fire, so it can take 48 hours before crew members can go in and clean up. With SemSafe, your people can be back in minutes

Foam Systems

While our water firefighting systems will put you in control of any fire on your platform, foam is the only proven firefighting system against fire on heli-decks. All our systems are tried and tested by our in-house experts, and certified according to internationally recognised standards.
